FoodShare Wisconsin Benefits
Program DescriptionFoodShare Wisconsin was created to help stop hunger and to improve nutrition and health. FoodShare helps people with limited money buy the food they need for good health. Each month, people across Wisconsin get help from FoodShare. They are people of all ages who have a job but have low incomes, are living on small or fixed income, have lost their job, retired or are disabled and not able to work.
General Program RequirementsYou may be able to enroll in FoodShare, if:
- Your family income is at or below the monthly program limit,
- You are a Wisconsin resident, and
- You are a United States citizen or qualifying immigrant.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

Application ProcessYou can apply online at access.wi.gov, by mail or phone with the local agency.
If you choose to apply by mail, complete the FoodShare Application (F-16019B). You can get the application:
- At dhs.wi.gov/em/customerhelp, or
- By calling 1-800-362-3002
Please keep in mind, you will need to call the agency to set up an appointment to apply by phone or in person.
