Teachers for Global Classrooms Professional Development Program Benefits

Program Description

The Teachers for Global Classrooms Program (TGC) provides an opportunity for middle and high school teachers from the United States to participate in a program aimed at globalizing U.S. classrooms through an online professional development course, two Washington, D.C.-based symposiums and a two to three week professional development exchange to one of the following countries: Brazil, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Morocco and Ukraine.

General Program Requirements

In order to be eligible for these programs, you must be a U.S. citizen and be full-time secondary-level (middle or high school), teaching professionals with five or more years of classroom experience in disciplines including English as a Second Language, English Language or Literature, Social Studies, Mathematics, or Science. You must also meet any additional requirements as stated in the program's eligibility section.
